I was born in a small village in the south of Italy and I can still smell its scents, its sunsets, its dialects...
Maybe that's why I started taking pictures...so that one day I could remember the people and the places that are now, to me, far away.
But what is essential for me in photography is to be able to develop it in silence, in solitude, without generating any external disturbance.
Everything must be photographed and detected with spontaneity as it presents itself.
My research is aimed at immortalizing that instant whose unconscious emotion is indelibly sculpted in our mind and soul.
I like to photograph landscapes when they invite the person to an inner search.
I like to photograph people when they show and reveal, through their eyes, the essence of their soul.
For some years now my interest has been oriented towards the search for "new photographic languages", the anthropological and anthropological aspect of society, in particular its changes and its cultural and environmental implications.
The photographic testimonies aim at documenting the life of men, their relationship with their "spirituality" and their "cultural and historical" heritage.
The ultimate goal of this research is to be able to contribute, even if only in a small part, to make images not only "static snapshots of life" but "give life" to memory.
A memory of a "real world" that can be inherited by future generations and that, like a "Present", acts as a cultural and emotional bridge between past and future.
Because I believe that "each of us is the fruit of all that we are together", the fruit of life's journey. That journey that I have perhaps begun to understand.
